Jordan and I traveled to Portsmouth yesterday and conquered a lot in a matter of hours. We walked all over town, tried new spots like Books and Brews and crossed the bridge into Maine to have dinner at Morrison's Lobster. I paired a white blouse with denim shorts and layered Jordan's jean jacket over my look. Recently, I have been on the hunt for an oversized jean jacket and I've come to the conclusion that the answer is in the mens section. Although oversized, this jacket is tailored and still feels put together from day to dinner.

For Attending Roots Launch Party |
Last week I had the pleasure of attending Root's launch party on Newbury Street. Unlike other events, Roots had a sensory based exhibit.

For Exploring JP |
Jordan and I ventured into JP to check out Tres Gatos for dinner. While waiting for our table (which took quite some time), we found unique wall art (on Centre Street and Forbes Street right by Centre Fashion). I paired my pom pom jeans (now on sale) with a white top, leather jacket and wedges for dinner. The black accessories made it more appropriate for evening wear. Jordan wore a denim-centric look with his new jean jacket and darker distressed jeans from J.Crew. If paired properly, I think that denim on denim can be worn at night, just make sure that then washes are darker.

For Brunch in Seaport |
With new construction on the up and up, Seaport is Boston's new hot spot. Unlike other areas, it has an elevated and chic energy about it, so whenever I have plans there, I make sure that my outfit meets the standard. This jumpsuit is one of my favorite pieces because of how versatile it is. I dressed it down with Keds and a bucket bag for brunch.

Last Friday, Jordan took me to Mistral for our anniversary. I guess the style from Nashville left and impression because this look feels very Nashville-inspired to me-especially the oversized, long blazer and hat.

MFA Late Nite |
With the perfect mix of art lovers and alcohol, MFA Late Nites has easily become one of my favorite activities. The dress code varies from buttoned up to urban. I decided to go for an elevated look and layer my off the shoulder top underneath my jumpsuit. I was too busy enjoying art, so this mirror shot will have to suffice.

Wedding Brunch on the Water |
For when you want to be comfortable, yet chic at a post-wedding brunch. This outfit was a huge hit with everyone there and even though it was linen, the strapless culotte silhouette felt very refined.

For riding the train and walking around the LES. This layered look is perfect spring weather in the city. The leather jacket gave the sweater dress a touch of edge and made it perfectly appropriate for daytime.

Relaxed, yet polished for Drag Brunch in the West Village. The blouse and neckerchief elevate the look, and the sneakers keep it practical. A relaxed white blouse is a necessary wardrobe staple because of how polished it looks and how versatile it is. A blouse can dress up any look, and this is why I wear them so much.

When you overpacked and have to wear all of your accessories. This cheeky accessory shot shows that you can be a maximalist, and still look cute. I tend to stray away from over accessorizing, but sometimes more than one statement piece can work together.
I LOVE these earrings, but unfortunately they are sold out on Anthro...and not made that well to be honest. So I'm sharing alternative earrings that are similar to this style below.

As someone who's traveled to Nashville a few times, I feel like I have a general idea of the style, a mixture of Brooklyn artist and country. There's a lot of denim, leather, boots and hats. So, wanting to fit in, I paired all of the above for my take on the style.
I wore this look for brunch at Mockingbird (you can see what I ate here) and for walking around 12 South (you can see what to wear here.). The picture on the right is in the beaurifully decorated pop up bus of menswear brand Buck Mason.

I tried my hand at another Nashville-inspired look with a relaxed shirt, and layered necklace. I feel like I really channeled a look true to my sister's style...but that may be because I wore her top and necklace.

I opted for a toned down Cinco look by pairing a ruffled one sleeve top with jeans and statement cactus earrings. It felt festive, yet formal for dinner and a night out. I wore this look to hip new restaurant, Geist in Germantown.
