about wardrobe stylist Amy Friel

I am a newly New York City based freelance stylist previously residing in Boston working in house for GILT and Rue La La, and Nebraska at Buckle. Over the past decade, I have diversity in both experience and styling. Starting as a freelance Production Assistant, then Stylist and most recently in house Fashion Director - styling womenswear, menswear, musicians, maternity, motion, kids, e-comm and stills. Working in cities from New York to Los Angeles and a few places in between like Nebraska and Nashville, on campaigns, editorials, in studio and on location. I bring a strong understanding of production and diversity in styling experience with a strength in collaboration, quick problem solving, and a lot of kindness, passion and enthusiasm.

I have experience overseeing brand styling direction, styling 70+ look campaigns, e-commerce capsules, and editorials in addition to location shoots with just a van, rack and small crew. I am used to early mornings and long nights, and being on set full time. I have styled brands from Brunello Cucinelli to Birkenstock and styled them through different brand lenses.

As a creative, I offer a unique perspective, understanding both in house and freelance points of view and priorities, and am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get dirty.
