All of the Ways to Wear a Pleated Skirt
Surprisingly, the best work wear investment I made was in a black pleated midi skirt. I say surprisingly because I am not much a of a skirt wearer, I'm usually in jeans. However, this skirt has provided me with a reliable base to plan work wear and street wear around. I have worn it with a blouse and heels for work and changed into a tee and sneakers for exploring the city. It has been my key transition piece for fall and spring, and always excites me season after season.
Why am I writing about this, well because I think that you need one in your closet too. It always looks put together for work or play and its comfortable and flattering. My mom always said that a classic silhouette is always flattering, and I definitely agree with this piece. With skirts like this making their rounds in street style, there are so many ways to pair it. I currently love the athletic look with sneakers. It harmoniously combines athleticism and femininity in this strange, but captivating dance. And although the way that it is styled may be a trend, this silhouette will never go out of style.
