When it comes to food, no one knows Nashville better than my sister Caitlin. She moved to Nashville three ago, and has been all over the food scene since, covering all sorts of bites with her Instagram Bougie Bites. So, her and I have teamed up and consolidated our top spots in Nashville. These are the restaurants that are off the beaten path, up and coming and the hidden gems of the southern city.

Go To’s | Come for the unique drinks, and stay for the delicious cookies and breakfast. Below are the Salted Coconut Caramel and Turtle Latte from their seasonal menu, and their chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies.

Go To's | for drinks, their adult Capri Sun's are as nostalgic as they are tasty. their gigantic, "hole in one donut" and "dat bun dough" cinnamon roll monkey bread are equally as indulgent.

Go To’s | their known for their pizza, but their beef tartar, smoked meats and ice cream are a must.

Go To's | the beef tartar is as tasty as it is beautiful as is the halibut. the beef zabuton is an elevated take on a southern classic and makes you feel right at home.

Go To's | I was blown away by the sushi presentation and flavor of the food. definitely get the bomb, rainbow box and try the sake-steamed brussel sprouts.

FIVE DAUGHTERS BAKERY | holy grail of donuts

Go To's | with 140 layers of croissant dough per each donut so you cant go wrong. Flavors change monthly, but favorites are Maple Bacon, S'mores, and Orange Dreamsicle.
SLIM AND HUSKY'S | hip and cheap pizza joint with gourmet toppings
Location | North Nashville
Vibe | such good vibes here, the people are so welcoming and sweet. the decor is also super cool with urban-contemporary feel and 90's hip hop and movies playing in the background.
Go To's | the ingredients and beers are all sourced locally, so you know the quality is good. you can make your own pie, so you can tailor it to your taste.
PEG LEG PORKER | delicious no fuss BBQ place

Vibe | very casual and relaxed
Go To's | you can't go wrong with any of their BBQ, but I recommend the pulled pork sandwich it was delicious
